4 Things you can do to help you drink more water

1. Pace Yourself

If you work at Starbucks or a job that requires lots of standing, it’s important to pace your intake. If you don’t, your bladder will not be happy – instead, take sips throughout the day. Rather than gulping down large amounts in a short period -because the last thing you need is having to use the restroom, and there’s none in sight

2. Invest In A Personalized Bottle Or Jug

If you need something portable, invest in a water bottle or jug. Which are not only affordable but are great reminders to stay hydrated. Especially the ones that have motivational quotes written on them. If you need help finding them, you can easily buy them from Amazon, Target, and other retail stores.

3. Infuse fruits or vegetables

Infusing your water with fruits or vegetables is perfect for adding flavor, especially if you do not like the taste of it. Or let’s say you do, but you need variety – so the next time you want to jazz up your water, incorporate some of your favorite fruits or vegetables.

4. Eat foods that contain it

Another easy option for staying hydrated is eating more foods that contain water. So, for me, my favorite food to eat for hydration is watermelon. It’s sweet, hydrating, and offers tons of nutritional benefits for the body. But if you do not like watermelon, try cucumbers, tomatoes, watercress, apples, celery, etc.

  1. Thanks for sharing these helpful tips! For me it also helps to make sure I always have a glass of water or bottle with/next to me. It’s a small reminder to take a sip every now and then.
Also making sure I drink a glass of water immediately after getting out of bed, makes me start the day in the right way 🙂

  2. People think I’m crazy…I love water. Plain. And cold. But I do love the occasional fun flavor packet. We have so many water bottles it’s almost embarrassing lol

  3. Good tips! When I first had a hard time drinking water it really helped for me to infuse with lemons. Now I use a 32 fl oz bottle to make sure I get my water intake. Good Post!
