With so many restaurants in Philadelphia, you can always find some good eats. And so, over two years ago, while roaming around Center City, I came across a Japanese restaurant called Yamitsuki In Chinatown. And so ever since then, it has become one of my favorite places to get delicious Japanese cuisine. So, to know what my go-to order from Yamitsuki is, continue to read along.
What do I get from Yamitsuki?
Even though I enjoy ramen, I typically go for the shrimp tempura roll for an appetizer and chicken katsu for my entree. This delicious combo hits the spot every time.
For the shrimp tempura roll, everything about it is delicious.
The Eel sauce combined with the crunch from the shrimp and the freshness from the avocado and cucumber makes it work so well together. And so, even though I am not a sushi fan, I can always count on my shrimp tempura.
Now, to one of my favorite entrees, the curry chicken katsu. The entree includes steamed white rice and a mixed salad with ginger dressing and pickled radish.
Before I started liking this dish, I never ate curry. But since I got introduced to chicken katsu, it’s delicious. The spiciness from the curry and pieces of crispy chicken together is a nice combo of spicy and savory.
What else would you recommend from this Japanese restaurant?
For the most part, everything at this Japanese restaurant is delicious -but if I had to give other recommendations besides ramen and my top dishes, I would choose onigiri, karaage chicken, or steamed buns.
In conclusion…
If you like Japanese cuisine and live in Philadelphia, check out Yamitsuki. With affordable prices and an inviting atmosphere, it’s worth checking out.
