Having a good breakfast can make a great start to your day -and so, about a week ago, on April 29th, I had a beautiful breakfast at Down Home Diner – located inside the Reading Terminal Market. To know more and my thoughts about the food, continue to read along.
How Did I find Out About Down Home Diner?
So that day, I was summoned for Jury duty -but by the time I got to the building, It was too late, and I had to reschedule for a different date – which I was annoyed by, but I had no other choice.
And so once done with the rescheduling and everything, I made my way back outside -as I started walking around outside, I felt myself getting hungry and indecisive.
Feeling indecisive and hungry, I pulled out my phone to find suggestions on the web, and 5 to 10 minutes later, I found Down Home Diner- which was great since I was already near the Reading Terminal Market.
What I Got To Eat
Once inside Reading Terminal Market, I started looking for the diner- and after about 10 minutes of being lost, I finally found it -which, in all honesty, I did not expect it to take that long since I am familiar with the market.
So, after finding a seat in the bar area of the diner, I looked over the menu, and after a few minutes of looking it over, my waitress came to ask me if I wanted to start with something to drink -I decided to go with water. A few minutes later, my waitress came back with the water. Clueless about what to order, I asked my waitress for some recommendations.
And based on her suggestions, I decided to go with Uncle Bunk’s Breakfast Bargain. (It included eggs, two buttermilk pancakes, and breakfast meat). Instead of pancakes, I went with French toast, my breakfast meat, I went with a sausage patty, and for my eggs, I had them scrambled.
Overall Thoughts Of My Meal At Down Home Diner
For one, the presentation of my meal was phenomenal -everything on the plate looked appetizing, which made me more excited for my meal.
As for the taste test, everything tasted delicious. The French toast was fluffy, airy, and had just the right amount of sweetness.
Eggs scrambled to perfection, and the sausage patty cooked nicely. As well as staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
In conclusion…
For a first-time visit, I can honestly say that I enjoyed everything -that said, if you reside in Philly or are in the neighborhood visiting, check out this diner. Prices are not only affordable, but it is also a great atmosphere.
So, if you all enjoyed this post, leave your thoughts below in the comment section. And I will talk to you all in my next post -Bye!
