5. Limit your streaming services.
In an age when cable is becoming obsolete, streaming services have become the new way to watch TV. So, a few months ago, I chose to get rid of my Hulu account plus another streaming service.
Mainly because I barely used them. So, if you have streaming services you use less than others, consider downsizing.
6. Find ways to repurpose your old clothes.
If you have a bunch of old clothes, find ways to repurpose them by getting creative.
If you have holes, fix them with fabric glue, cut jeans into shorts, make DIY hair accessories, dye your clothes to add a pop of color, or transform old t-shirts into a bag.
7. Do not go overboard with online shopping.
One of the best things about online shopping is not leaving the comfort of your home. You can shop in your pajamas, and no one will ever know. But with that, it’s easy to get addicted. So rather than go overboard, only purchase a few items at a time.
8. Consider Taking public transportation more often.
With the way the world is, many people feel unsafe taking public transportation. And look, I get that because my perspective has also changed over the years. But even so, if you constantly use Lyft, Uber, or any other driving service, it will be harder to save money.
So, to help you cut back, use these services on the weekend or a few days out of the week. If that does not work, find a routine that works for you.
In conclusion…
Though saving money is hard, it’s attainable if you stay disciplined and consistent. So, if you found my tips on how to save money helpful, leave a comment. Thanks for sharing. I definitely have to watch online shopping habits and also review all my subscription services.
The difference between a want and a need is SOOO important. Great list!
