As someone who spent almost a decade trying to find love, it was not easy. Before my boyfriend came into my life, it seemed nearly impossible to find a decent guy.
All the guys I attracted seemed to either not want a relationship, wanted friends with benefits, or just saw me as a friend. And so, by March of 2021, I was fed up and decided it was time to focus my attention on other things.
And so, with that said, for today’s post, I’ll be sharing something my mom always told me. Which is “Love happens when you least expect it’.

My Journey Of Finding Love Unexpectedly
For a long time, I did not believe that it would happen to me. It seemed that things like that only happened to people on TV. Or the few lucky ones in real life. And so, having that mindset, I doubted myself in finding love. The idea that I could find a decent guy seemed out of reach.
What made me change my mind?
Most definitely, it would have to be my boyfriend.
Finding him made me realize there is someone out there for everyone. And that life is full of surprises. Because even if you think the universe is not working in your favor, you may be surprised.
What do I love the most about my boyfriend?
If I had to say one thing, it would be how much he cares about me and is willing to do anything for me. Even when I get on his nerves, he ensures I feel loved. Safe and is my biggest cheerleader when I have my off days.
Any advice to someone who wants to find love?
Finding love and a connection with someone can be a blessing. And so, if you find yourself in a situation where you want a relationship, do not sweat it. Let the universe do its thing, and keep living your life.
But on the other hand, if you’re tired of waiting around for Mr. or Ms. Perfect, you can always try online dating sites. Or apps like Meetup that help you to connect with people. In your area, that may be new to the city or locals looking for new friends.
In Conclusion
There’s no manual on what’s wrong or right for love. You can find it at the grocery store or anywhere else. So the next time you feel down about being single, remember that things happen for a reason. And so, use your time wisely. To work on building and bettering yourself. So that when you meet someone, you’ll have your stuff together.
